Izipizi is a young and playful eyewear brand based in Paris. However, its products are also popular far beyond the borders of France. This brand thus proves how a startup can quickly sweep the market dominated primarily by large players.
History of the Izipizi Brand
The story of the Izipizi brand began in 2010 in France. Three high school classmates from Lyon (Xavier Aguera, Charles Brun, and Quentin Couturier) decided to “sweep” the eyewear market. According to them, three things were enough – quality, design, and distribution. In 2012, glasses with the See Concept brand were born. Although initially they were only reading glasses, a year later, all three friends and business partners decided to expand the collection to include sunglasses as well. They were very well received.
This story demonstrates how a startup can completely overturn established "orders" within a few years. The luxury eyewear market was long dominated by large brands, but this has changed. See Concept glasses with variously colored frames, which were renamed Izipizi, adapted to all face shapes, were comfortable, featured a vintage style, and were available at affordable prices. Over time, the entire brand was renamed to Izipizi, and it remains highly popular to this day.
Note: The See Up concept, which included self-service reading glasses, was very successful. These glasses were freely available in places where they were needed, such as banks or restaurants.
Izipizi Glasses are High-Quality, Affordable, and Visually Appealing
The Izipizi brand currently offers not only prescription and sunglasses, but also glasses designed for reading digital devices. But why have they gained such popularity in just a few years?
- Izipizi glasses have a unique style that is very simple yet (or perhaps because of that) manages to catch the eye at first glance. They ensure a unique appearance for the wearer. The individual models are suitable for men or women, but there are also unisex and children's variants.
- You can purchase these products in various shapes. Square frames are optimal for round, oval, or triangular face shapes, and pilot frames are suitable for square, oval, or triangular faces. Round frames are, in turn, an ideal choice for individuals with square or oval faces.
- Individual models are available in various color options. In this regard, it is advisable to consider the skin tone and hair color. For example, green frames are excellent for cool skin tones and dark brown, auburn, or black hair.
- Additionally, Izipizi glasses have excellent practical features. They are made from high-quality plastic, which ensures increased resistance to mechanical damage as well as to weather conditions. At the same time, they are comfortable to wear, thanks to the easy fitting mechanism that allows the sides to open more than 90°.
All offered products can be purchased at very affordable prices. Regardless of the variant, the vast majority of Izipizi glasses can be found for under a thousand. Therefore, purchasing them will not ruin your family budget.
Izipizi Eyewear Models
Izipizi Glasses today exist in several model lines that differ in their application. The individual models are categorized into three basic categories, which we will focus on in the following lines.
- Izipizi Reading – as the name suggests, these are prescription reading glasses. Their construction is either dark or multicolored. They are intended for reading from paper. Additionally, there is a Reading Sun variant, which are prescription reading glasses with tinted lenses that protect the wearer against ultraviolet radiation.
- Izipizi Reading Screen – glasses designed for reading from digital device screens (computers, mobiles, tablets, etc.). They feature a filter that absorbs up to 40% of blue light, which negatively affects the eyes and can disrupt sleep. Therefore, wearing them is recommended.
Izipizi Sun – sunglasses reliably protect against UV radiation. Available variants include Sun Baby (for children from 0 to 9 months), Sun Kids (9 to 36 months), Sun Kids+ (3 to five years), and Sun Junior (5 to 10 years). However, products for older children and adults are also available in model lines such as Glacier or Rock Garden.
